WFD rarely used their previous site and did not feel that it offered a good source of information to their prospective contacts. Information was not easy to find, sometimes out of date and lacking in substance in several areas. The homepage didn’t work very hard at present and failed to convey the correct message about the organisation.
To redevelop the existing website to provide better and more relevant information to both new and existing users. In particular WFD wanted to provide a site that reflects the WFD brand, with a range of case studies and information which is categorised by geographical region, political party or theme.
The new site was constructed using our Content Management System (CMS) solution which includes many features such as the advanced page editor complete with spellchecker and XHTML compliance.
The site also includes a bespoke case study matrix feature which allows case studies to be mapped to countries, political parties and themes. The CMS then automatically creates cross-referenced links back to the case studies from the relevant pages around the site.
