Derek Wyatt MP
Derek Wyatt, MP for Sittingbourne & Sheppey was voted one of the top 100 internet gurus in the past decade. He is chairman of the All Party Internet group, and founder of the Oxford Internet Institute at Oxford University. His highly successful website had outgrown the capabilities of the existing solution, was looking tired and did not meet any aspect of the current accessibility Initiatives and legislation.

Building a new web presence for someone with his credentials and with an already established and successful site was always going to be a challenge, but we relished the prospect! We wanted to build a website quite different from that of other MP’s, we hope to set the benchmark for others to follow.
The new site was constructed using our award winning Content Management System (CMS) solution and included many new features such as a full site search, RSS feeds, Blog, straw polls, virtual surgery, debates, site map, email news subscription, accessibility compliance and a more integrated visual design.
We are please to report that the site current attracts around 15,000 visitors a week on average which is a sharp increase over the previous site. Visitor number did peak at nearly 30,000 for a few months.
In addition, Mr Wyatt has received a considerable amount of positive feedback from his peers and visitors to the site as well winning the New Statesman Best Web Site 2006 for an elected representative and British Computer Society MP Website Awards for "Engagement" Category 2007.
