Having previously delivered a successful town website for Faversham, which we managed for many years, we had long hoped to see a similar platform created for Sittingbourne. When this didn’t materialise, we decided to build it ourselves from the ground up. In the early years, we also faced strong competition as others recognised the potential of the space.
The project began in late 2012 and launched approximately six months later in 2013. It featured a comprehensive business directory, things to do section, events listings, blog, and community resources covering areas such as education and health services.
Today, the site has grown into a well-established alternative local news source and a leading platform for promoting events, supported by unique video coverage of major happenings that documents the town’s history in real time.
